Kaya Rose Scodelario-Davis is a British actress best known for her role as Effy Stonem in the teen drama series Skins. The series was about the lives of a group of teenagers and explored issues, such as dysfunctional families, mental illness, and bipolar disorder. Venturing into acting as a teenager, she began her career with a television role. She eventually entered movies as well. Her works on the big screen include the dystopian sci-fi film The Maze Runner, where she played one of the main roles. The film did well commercially and earned ten times its budget. She also played an important role in the swashbuckler fantasy film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, one of the most popular installments of the famous Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Over the course of her career, she has been nominated for multiple Golden Nymph Awards and Teen Choice Awards among other prestigious awards.
