Robert Kardashian (1944–2003) was an American attorney and businessman, best known for his involvement in the O.J. Simpson murder trial and as the patriarch of the Kardashian family, who gained fame through reality television. Born on February 22, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, Kardashian graduated from the University of Southern California and later earned his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He gained initial recognition as a lawyer for his close friendship with O.J. Simpson and for serving on Simpson’s defense team during the highly publicized 1995 trial for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Beyond his legal career, Kardashian ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding a music company and a trade publication for the garment industry. He also delved into the world of entertainment, serving as an executive producer for several television movies.
Kardashian married Kris Jenner in 1978, and they had four children: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Robert Jr. Following their divorce in 1991, Kris remarried, and Robert remained a prominent figure in his children’s lives until his death from esophageal cancer on September 30, 2003.
