Billy Gardell, born on August 20, 1969, in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, is an American actor and comedian best known for his role as Mike Biggs on the CBS sitcom Mike & Molly (2010–2016). Before his breakout role, Gardell had a long career in stand-up comedy, performing in clubs across the country. His comedy often draws on his own life experiences, particularly his working-class roots and challenges with weight loss.
Gardell’s acting career began in the late 1990s with small roles in TV shows such as The King of Queens and Yes, Dear. He also appeared in films like Bad Santa (2003) and You, Me and Dupree (2006).
