He is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers of his generation. Júlio César began his professional career at Flamengo, where he quickly gained attention for his agility and shot-stopping abilities.
In 2005, he moved to Europe, joining Inter Milan, where he enjoyed the most successful period of his career. During his time at Inter, Júlio César won five Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia titles, and the UEFA Champions League in 2010 under the management of José Mourinho. His exceptional performances earned him the UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2010.
