Inspiring quotes by Blake Bortles

The top 10 most inspiring quotes by Blake Bortles

  • All of my Pop Warner coaches were police officers so I’ve always been around it and spent time with them and I want to make a difference and allow them to do their jobs.
  • My dad was a wrestler and my mom played college softball, but they were never out in the front yard coaching and trying to tell me what to do. It was like, ‘Hey, go out there and figure it out.’ They weren’t the overbearing parents, which is good.
  • I love to play football and I mean anytime somebody’s going to ask you to throw at the combine, you get an opportunity to do that in front of every single NFL coach and GM in the country, I don’t know what’s wrong with you if you don’t take that challenge on and go compete.
  • As long as you’re surrounded by people – and sometimes you’re in control of that and sometimes you’re not – who listen and teach, you’re going to be OK.
  • I think if you look at guys in the past, guys have performed better and had better careers if they were understudies.
  • As a quarterback, I think you have one job and that’s to win a football game, and if you don’t do that, your time’s probably limited.
  • I think you learn by making mistakes and what throws you can and can’t make, and what decisions to make and not to make.
  • There’s people that think LeBron James sucks, so if that happens I’m sure there will be a lot of people that always think I suck.
  • I played linebacker and running back until my sophomore year of high school, and then our quarterback got hurt so I had to start playing quarterback, ’cause I had played baseball and could throw. The first year I played quarterback, I wore No. 44. I was like, ‘This is just temporary. I’ll be back, don’t you worry.’
  • It’s a waste of space in my mind to read negative stuff about me. Or positive stuff, for that matter, too.
