Henryk Sienkiewicz (1846–1916) was a Polish novelist and journalist, celebrated for his historical fiction. Born in Wola Okrzejska, Poland, he studied at Warsaw University before embarking on a career in journalism.

Sienkiewicz gained fame for his vivid storytelling and meticulous historical research, becoming one of the most prominent Polish writers of his time.
