Nicole Ari Parker is an American actress, producer, and model known for her work in film and television. She was born on October 7, 1970, in Baltimore, Maryland. Parker studied acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and began her professional career in the 1990s.

She made her film debut in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995), followed by notable appearances in Boogie Nights (1997), Blue Streak (1999), Remember the Titans (2000), and Brown Sugar (2002).

Parker gained widespread recognition for playing attorney Teri Joseph on the television drama Soul Food from 2000 to 2004. She later appeared in series such as Empire, Chicago P.D., and And Just Like That…, where she plays Lisa Todd Wexley. Parker is married to actor Boris Kodjoe, and they have two children. She has also supported charitable work, including efforts related to spina bifida awareness through the Sophie’s Voice Foundation.
