Yvonne De Carlo was a Canadian-American actress, singer, and dancer best known for her work in Hollywood during the 1940s and 1950s. Born Margaret Yvonne Middleton on September 1, 1922, in Vancouver, British Columbia, she began performing as a dancer before pursuing a career in acting.

De Carlo gained fame for her roles in films such as Salome, Where She Danced (1945), Criss Cross (1949), and Band of Angels (1957). She became especially popular for portraying Lily Munster, the elegant and eccentric matriarch of the classic television sitcom The Munsters (1964–1966). Her performance made her a beloved figure in television history.

De Carlo also appeared on stage and recorded music during her career. She was married to stuntman and actor Bob Morgan, with whom she had two sons. Yvonne De Carlo continued acting in later years and remained a recognizable Hollywood personality until her death on January 8, 2007, in Los Angeles.
