Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish, commonly known as Kenny Dalglish, is a Scottish former professional footballer and manager, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers in British history. Born on March 4, 1951, in Glasgow, Scotland, Dalglish began his playing career with Celtic FC in 1969, where he quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer and a gifted playmaker. His impressive performances caught the attention of Liverpool FC, where he transferred in 1977 for a then-British record fee.
During his time at Liverpool, Dalglish became a legendary figure, winning numerous domestic and European trophies, including six English First Division titles and three European Cups.
