Maynard James Keenan is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor, best known as the lead vocalist of the bands Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. Born on April 17, 1964, in Ravenna, Ohio, Keenan showed an early interest in music and art. After serving in the United States Army, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music.
In 1990, Keenan formed the progressive metal band Tool, which gained widespread acclaim for their complex musical compositions and introspective lyrics. The band has released several critically acclaimed albums, including “Undertow,” “Ænima,” and “Lateralus,” earning multiple Grammy Awards and establishing Keenan as a prominent figure in alternative metal.
