Shemar Moore is an American actor and former fashion model. He was born on April 20, 1970, in Oakland, California. He attended Santa Clara University, where he majored in communications and played college football.
Moore began his career as a model, working for companies such as Levi’s and Armani. In 1994, he made his acting debut on the soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” where he played the role of Malcolm Winters for eight years.
In 2000, Moore left “The Young and the Restless” to join the cast of the CBS crime drama “S.W.A.T.” He played the role of Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson for three seasons before leaving the show in 2003.
Moore has also appeared in several films, including “The Brothers,” “Motives,” and “Diary of a Mad Black Woman.” He has won several awards for his work, including a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role on “The Young and the Restless.”
