Andy García is an American actor and director, born on April 12, 1956, in Havana, Cuba. He moved with his family to Miami, Florida, in the United States when he was five years old. García graduated from Florida International University with a degree in acting and later studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory in Los Angeles.
García began his career in Hollywood with small roles in films such as “Blue Skies Again” and “The Mean Season.” He gained wider recognition for his role as Vincent Mancini in “The Godfather Part III” in 1990. García’s other notable films include “When a Man Loves a Woman,” “City Island,” and “Ocean’s Eleven,” among many others.
In addition to acting, García has also directed several films, including “Cachao: Uno Mas,” a documentary about the Cuban musician Israel “Cachao” López. García has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “The Godfather Part III.”
