Daniel Dae Kim is a Korean-American actor, producer, and activist best known for his roles on television. Born on August 4, 1968, in Busan, South Korea, he moved to the United States with his family when he was a year old. Kim grew up in Pennsylvania and later attended Haverford College, where he majored in political science. He then earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Kim’s breakthrough role came in 2004 when he was cast as Jin-Soo Kwon on the hit television series Lost. His portrayal of Jin, a complex and evolving character, earned him critical acclaim and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
