Anton Yelchin (1989–2016) was a Russian-American actor known for his talent and versatility. Born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg, Russia), he immigrated to the U.S. as an infant with his figure-skating parents. Yelchin began acting as a child, gaining recognition for roles in Hearts in Atlantis (2001) and the TV series Huff (2004–2006).
His breakthrough came with the role of Pavel Chekov in Star Trek (2009) and its sequels, where he impressed audiences with his charismatic performance. He also starred in Like Crazy (2011), Green Room (2015), and Odd Thomas (2013), showcasing his range in drama, horror, and sci-fi.
Tragically, Yelchin died in a freak accident in 2016 at age 27. His posthumous documentary Love, Antosha (2019) highlighted his passion for art, photography, and music. Despite his short career, Yelchin left a lasting impact on Hollywood with his unique talent.
