Ezra Michael Koenig, born on April 8, 1984, in New York City, is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. Raised in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, he attended Columbia University, graduating in 2006.

In 2006, Koenig co-founded the indie rock band Vampire Weekend, serving as the lead vocalist and guitarist. The band gained prominence with their self-titled debut album in 2008, followed by critically acclaimed releases such as “Contra” (2010), “Modern Vampires of the City” (2013), and “Father of the Bride” (2019).

Beyond his work with Vampire Weekend, Koenig created the Netflix animated series “Neo Yokio” and hosts the Apple Music radio talk show “Time Crisis with Ezra Koenig.” Since 2016, he has been in a relationship with actress Rashida Jones; the couple welcomed their son, Isaiah, in 2018.
