Hugh Dancy (born June 19, 1975) is an English actor known for his work in film, television, and theatre. Born in Stoke-on-Trent and raised in Newcastle-under-Lyme, he studied English at Oxford before training as an actor in London. Dancy gained early recognition with roles in British television, including Daniel Deronda.
