Karl Malone

Karl Malone is a retired American professional basketball player, widely considered as one of the greatest power forwards in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on July 24, 1963, in Summerfield, Louisiana, USA.

Malone played college basketball at Louisiana Tech University and was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 13th overall pick in the 1985 NBA draft. He spent 18 seasons with the Jazz, where he formed a dominant duo with point guard John Stockton, and was named to the All-NBA First Team 11 times and the NBA All-Defensive First Team three times.

During his career, Malone also played for the Los Angeles Lakers and won two Olympic gold medals as a member of the United States men’s basketball team. He retired in 2004 with numerous accolades, including two NBA Most Valuable Player awards and 14 NBA All-Star Game selections.

Off the court, Malone has been involved in various business ventures and philanthropic activities, including founding the Karl Malone Foundation for Kids, which aims to improve the lives of underprivileged children in Utah and Louisiana.
