Kevin Sorbo is an American actor, best known for his role as the titular character in the TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995–1999). Born on September 24, 1958, in Mound, Minnesota, Sorbo’s early career involved guest roles on popular TV shows before landing his breakout role as Hercules. The series’ success made him an international star, and he later reprised the role in the spinoff Xena: Warrior Princess.
Sorbo also starred in Andromeda (2000–2005), a science fiction series where he played Captain Dylan Hunt. Beyond television, Sorbo has appeared in faith-based films such as God’s Not Dead (2014) and Let There Be Light (2017), the latter of which he directed.
