Lecrae Moore is a Grammy-winning American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. He was born on October 9, 1979, in Houston, Texas, and was raised by his mother in a primarily black and Hispanic community. Moore became a Christian in his early twenties and began using his music to express his faith and spread positive messages.
In 2004, he co-founded Reach Records, an independent record label that has released several successful Christian hip-hop albums. Moore’s music has been recognized for its blend of spiritual and socially conscious themes, and he has won two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album. In addition to his music career, Moore is also an author, with a book titled “Unashamed” published in 2016. He has also been active in philanthropic efforts, including founding the “Lifted Gifted” program which provides mentoring and support for young people in underserved communities.
