Mandy Patinkin is an American actor and singer, born on November 30, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from the Juilliard School in 1975 and began his career on Broadway, earning a Tony Award for his role in the musical “Evita” in 1980.
Patinkin is best known for his roles in film and television, including his portrayal of Inigo Montoya in the 1987 film “The Princess Bride,” and as CIA agent Saul Berenson in the Showtime series “Homeland.” He has also appeared in numerous other films, such as “Yentl” and “Dick Tracy,” and television shows, including “Chicago Hope” and “Criminal Minds.”
