Marc Gasol is a Spanish former professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the most skilled centers of his generation. Born on January 29, 1985, in Barcelona, Spain, he is the younger brother of NBA star Pau Gasol.
Marc developed his game in Spain before moving to the United States, where he played college basketball at the University of Memphis and helped lead the Tigers to the 2008 NCAA Championship game.
Drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2007 and traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, Gasol became the cornerstone of the franchise.
