Michael Oher, born on May 28, 1986, in Memphis, Tennessee, is a former professional American football player and inspirational figure. Raised in a challenging environment marked by poverty and instability, Oher was taken in by the Tuohy family during his teenage years, who provided him with support and stability.

His life story inspired the bestselling book The Blind Side by Michael Lewis and the 2009 Oscar-winning film of the same name. Oher played college football at the University of Mississippi and was a standout offensive lineman. He was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens and went on to win Super Bowl XLVII with the team in 2013.
