Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, born on July 27, 1970, in Rudkøbing, Denmark, is a Danish actor, producer, and screenwriter. He studied at the Danish National School of Theatre and made his breakthrough with the 1994 film Nightwatch. His international career began with roles in Black Hawk Down (2001) and Kingdom of Heaven (2005).
