Nwankwo Kanu, born on August 1, 1976, in Owerri, Nigeria, is a retired professional footballer renowned for his exceptional skill and versatility on the field. Kanu began his career at Nigerian club Iwuanyanwu Nationale before moving to Europe, where he gained prominence with Dutch giants Ajax, winning the UEFA Champions League in 1995.
