Ruud van Nistelrooy, born on July 1, 1976, in Oss, Netherlands, is a retired Dutch professional footballer and current football coach. Renowned for his clinical finishing and exceptional goal-scoring ability, van Nistelrooy began his professional career with Den Bosch, later moving to Heerenveen and then to PSV Eindhoven, where he emerged as a top striker.

In 2001, he joined Manchester United, becoming one of the Premier League’s most prolific goal scorers. During his five seasons at United, he won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and earned the Premier League Golden Boot. In 2006, van Nistelrooy transferred to Real Madrid, where he continued his scoring prowess, helping the team secure two La Liga titles.

After stints at Hamburger SV and Málaga CF, he retired in 2012. Internationally, van Nistelrooy represented the Netherlands, scoring 35 goals in 70 appearances. Post-retirement, he ventured into coaching, taking roles at PSV and the Dutch national team.
