Sarah Chalke, born on August 27, 1976, in Ottawa, Canada, is a Canadian actress best known for her television work. She grew up in Vancouver, where she began acting in community theater before moving into professional roles.

Chalke gained early recognition as Becky Conner on the hit sitcom Roseanne, stepping in as the second actress to play the character. She later became widely beloved for her role as Dr. Elliot Reid on the medical comedy Scrubs (2001–2010), where her mix of humor and vulnerability made her a fan favorite.
