Tony Scott, born on June 21, 1944, in Tynemouth, England, was a British film director and producer known for his dynamic and visually striking action films. He studied at the Royal College of Art and began his career directing commercials with his brother, Ridley Scott.
Tony made his feature film debut with The Hunger (1983), but gained major recognition with Top Gun (1986), a blockbuster that became a cultural phenomenon.
