Jon Heder is an American actor and comedian best known for his breakout role as the awkward, endearing character Napoleon Dynamite in the 2004 cult classic Napoleon Dynamite. Born on October 26, 1977, in Fort Collins, Colorado, Heder moved with his family to Salem, Oregon, where he later attended Brigham Young University. There, he studied computer animation and met Jared Hess, who directed Napoleon Dynamite, originally a short film called Peluca. The full-length feature quickly gained a following for its unique humor, and Heder’s deadpan delivery made the character iconic, earning him widespread recognition.
