Nancy Travis is an American actress known for her versatile roles in film and television. Born on September 21, 1961, in New York City, Travis grew up in Baltimore and Boston before pursuing acting. She studied drama at New York University and began her career on the stage, performing in plays like Brighton Beach Memoirs and I’m Not Rappaport on Broadway.
Travis gained early recognition with her film debut in Three Men and a Baby (1987), playing Sylvia, the mother of the baby. She reprised her role in the sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady (1990).
