Shelley Hennig, born on January 2, 1987, in Metairie, Louisiana, is an American actress, model, and beauty queen. She was raised in Destrehan, Louisiana, and spent much of her childhood as a competitive dancer.
In 2004, Hennig won the Miss Louisiana Teen USA pageant and subsequently earned the title of Miss Teen USA 2004, becoming the first winner from Louisiana. Her winnings included a one-year modeling contract with Trump Modeling Management and a scholarship to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
Transitioning into acting, Hennig’s first major role was as Stephanie Johnson on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” (2007–2011, 2017), earning her two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Younger Actress.
She further gained prominence portraying Diana Meade in “The Secret Circle” (2011–2012) and Malia Tate in “Teen Wolf” (2014–2017), for which she received a Teen Choice Award.
Hennig’s film credits include horror movies like “Ouija” (2014) and “Unfriended” (2014), as well as the romantic comedy “When We First Met” (2018).
In 2023, she starred as CIA agent Ava Winters in the Netflix action comedy series “Obliterated.”
