Tinnu Anand (also known as Virender Raj Anand) is an Indian film actor, director and writer. He was born on May 4, 1953, in Bombay (now Mumbai), India.
Anand began his acting career in the 1970s and has appeared in numerous Bollywood films, including “Kaala Patthar,” “Shaan,” “Desh Premee,” and “Mr. India.” He has also acted in a few Tamil and Telugu films.
In addition to acting, Anand has directed and written several films. He made his directorial debut with the film “Major Saab” in 1998, starring Amitabh Bachchan. He has also directed other Bollywood films such as “Shahenshah” and “Kaalia.”
Anand is known for his collaborations with the legendary Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter, Yash Chopra. He has acted in several of Chopra’s films, including “Deewaar,” “Kabhi Kabhie,” “Kaala Patthar,” and “Silsila.”
Anand has won several awards for his work in the Indian film industry, including the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Kaala Patthar.” He continues to be active in the industry, both as an actor and as a director.
