Matthew Gray Gubler is an American actor, filmmaker, and model, born on March 9, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is best known for his role as Dr. Spencer Reid in the CBS crime drama series Criminal Minds.
Gubler studied acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he graduated with a degree in film directing. He began his career as a model for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, and American Eagle, before transitioning to acting.
