Taran Killam is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He was born on April 1, 1982, in Culver City, California, and grew up in Big Bear Lake, California. Killam attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and later pursued his passion for comedy and acting by studying at the Groundlings Theatre and School in Los Angeles.
Killam is best known for his work on the sketch comedy series “Saturday Night Live” (SNL), where he was a cast member from 2010 to 2016. During his time on the show, he portrayed a variety of characters, including the popular impersonations of politicians like Paul Ryan and Donald Trump.
Before his time on SNL, Killam appeared in various television shows and films, including “The Amanda Show,” “Scrubs,” and “How I Met Your Mother.” He has also worked as a voice actor, providing the voice for characters in animated series like “The Awesomes” and “Nature Cat.”
